Graham Healy's final comment :"You really have to ask yourself why has Croff-Fit 'mushroomed up' like a 'unsightly Virus ?' well this is the simple reason 'Yankee MARKETING' .There is ZERO EXERCISE SCIENCE behind Cross-Fit (as fully explained in my article, and I am not alone in this opinion, based of Experience and Exercise Science over 40 years of Training myself in various disciplines. One thing i will give Greg Glassman (founder of cross-fit) is that HE HAS MADE A LOT OF MONEY and thats what its all about RIGHT ? YEAH RIGHT !. I mean check out Greg Glassman, would he be the sort of person that would 'Inspire you' into a healthy life-style ? I am certainly not impressed and what is his background ? and qualifications ? nothing much I can find to be inspirational to me , but good Luck to Greg Glassman he's laughing all the way to the bank , as the 'sheep' crawl all the way to Rehab in a long line of injuries and irresponsible 'risk management' non existent 'duty of care' policies along with Cross-fit instructors quilified in a 'week end' course .. O yeah less $700 bucks (sound familure?) then you can teach 'Olympic Weighlifting' Right ? YEAH RIGHT! . 
Just Like "Circuit training" in Gyms 30 years ago and all the 'special Gym Circuits of expensive Keiser Equipment' they build and made "A LOT OF MONEY OUT OF" the questions is WHERE ARE THE KEISER EQUIPMENT CIRCUITS NOW ?ANSWER: DEAD RIP ! WHY ? because they didn't work and didn't achieve anything much ,as Leo Young sports scientist and World Champ Concept 2 Rower stated "The Circuits achieved the strength benefits of a cardio workout and the Cardio benefits of a Weights Workout" In other words NEITHER. So the OLD CIRCUIT TRAINING was DEAD & BURIED laid to rest RIGHT ? WRONG ....the rumbling from the Grave and a NEW GENERATION OF ZOMBIES EVOLVED ,initially in the form of Boot-camp Lunacy , the Armed services sort of created (and the list of Soldiers in Re-Hab is long ,stuffed knees,shoulders ,hips and backs from running around all day with back-packs & carrying weapons and in army boots "Crunching" every joint in their body) But when your in the Army you have signed your life away. Then it made it to Civian Land,Civilian Boot Camps (by week-end warriors) then it MORPHED once more and EVOLVED INTO the REHAB MONEY MAKING MONSTER "CROSS-FIT" this time STUFF it we will make it UNLIMITEDLY DANGEROUS and MIX OLYMPIC WEIGHLIFTING-BOX JUMPS-SPRINTS-KETTLE BELLS into a BIG BLENDER-TRAIN-EVERY DAY and COMPETE OUR WAY TO REHAB ! thats Cross-fit in a sentance.

MY PREDICTION within 2-3 years CROSS-FIT will be DEAD IN THE WATER in the Graveyard along with Circuit training, Busu Balls, Fat-Burning Aerobics Classes .
    

In The meantime Graham Healy and Healy's Health have been for the Last 40 years been practicing the CORRECT METHODOLOGY in SPORTS SPECIFIC TRAINING and thats is CROSS-TRAINING & PERODIZATION PROGRAMMING(apparently not in the cros-fit dictionary). As a Multidisiplined Sports man ,Boxing,Rugby League,Water Polo,Competitive Swimming,Competitive running,Olympic Weighlifter (Qld titles 1976) and 8th dan Master In Martial Arts I might just know a thing or two .
As a 8th dan Master in Martial Arts and having spent 15 years with Two of the Founding masters is Tae kwon Do , I've practiced thousands of JUMPING KICKS and can still do them to this day (I am now 60 years old) But I WOULD NEVER GET A BEGINNER TO DO JUMPING KICKS before at least 12 months of basic training otherwise 'RIP-TEAR' 
can you possibly think of a discipline that gets beginners to do advanced plyometrics ? think hard ? no prizes for guessing .

 "Train Safe, Cross-train, Periodize-cycle your training properly and get a mentor who knows what in the hell he is talking about in the First Place."
